My wardrobe used to be completely black. Black is chic, easy to wear, and classic, right?

Well, for some people it might be. But for me, black just isn’t my color.

A few years ago I had a color analysis done on me by one of my friends who is a consultant at House of Colour. Here I learned that my all black wardrobe wasn’t doing me any favors.

Instead, I learned that my best colors included natural earth tones. I switched out black with navy, an equally classic color that suited me better.

Having this knowledge helped me to build a classic wardrobe with colors and styles that suited me best. It made shopping much easier because I knew what to look for and what to avoid.

I have even taken this newfound knowledge into my bags and accessories. Because I now wear navy instead of black, I have built up my navy backpack and bag collection

When I’m not wearing navy I focus on wearing bags that suit my color pallet. Some of my favorite A|F colors include camel for the spring and summer, and olive for the fall and winter.

Truly, finding out what colors suit me best has been one of the best decisions for my wardrobe and overall confidence!
